Virtual Desktop Manager

There is a free Virtual Desktop Manager for XP, part of "Microsoft
PowerToys". Is there a decent -or for that matter an adequate- free
multiple virtual desktop manager for Win 7?

As a *mostly* Linux user I must admit to being somewhat surprised this
is not built in to Win 7, it being standard on Linux and OS X, and such
a useful feature. I can't seem to find a free one for Win 7 and don't
really want to pay as I am a strictly part time Win 7 user.

Thanks.

I use Workspace Switcher 2.30.0. It works great just like the Linux one.

That was an error, this is what I use in Windows 7:
Vista/XP Virtual Desktops is now Finestra Virtual Desktops

Sorry that link should have been

http://www.thewindowsclub.com/ultimate-windows-tweaker-v2-a-tweak-ui-for-windows-7-vista

There does seem to be quite a lot of useful stuff on that website however.

Thanks LSMFT.

PS. You had me confused with Workspace Switcher. :)

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the link to Ultimate Windows Tweaker, but I can't seem to
find any reference to it having a Virtual Desktop Manager in it.

Am I missing something?

Cheers.

Sorry. I saw Power Toys and assumed you meant a replacement for Tweakui.
There is this also in the windows club:
