The other day my exe files disappeared. It was right after I had deleted some files I thought I didn't need. When I saw that I had made a mistake, I told the recycle bin to restore everything. Obviously it didn't all come back right. There's no message when I try to open an application....it just doesn't open when I double click. and I have to right click and use the "open" feature. I've done a lot of searching and reading and tried some things. Mostly people say to go into the registry and make changes. I don't want to do that. The last thing I did was to run sfc/scannow and the results said I didn't have any bad files.
