They look like shitty knockoffs of the Sidekick series with a dash of MOTOBLUR.

Looks like expensive toys to me. If you want a computer, get a laptop. If you want to get a cell phone, buy one w/o the computer. I would feel differently about the matter, if you could tether your connection to your laptop (or even to your desktop), in order to use your "allowed" amount of GB's. These Apple phones have the technology for this, but the bottom line is, AT&T doesn't have the infrastructure to allow it. I realize these are some of the hottest things on the market, but if you can't use all of it's intended features, why pay the price for it?

To me a cellphone should be just a phone. No bells, buzzers or whistles. No gimmicks.

The camera feature of cellphones are a nice touch. Other than that IMO there is not enough power for computing.

The HTC Nexus One, Palm Pre Plus and Motorola Droid can all be overclocked. ;)

I want my phone to be so powerful that I could pipe 1080p to the moon, but these gimmicky "feature" phones are neither simple phones nor real smartphones. They do what some engineers think is best for you--if that's your bag, cool. If not, then you might as well take a hike.

Give me a real phone with real programs and a real OS, or don't give me a phone at all.
