I Cannot do a back up!!

I cannot do a backup running Windows7, I have tried on a external drive 320GB it keeps failing !!!

I cannot make a backup it keeps failing can any one help please?? I am trying on a external drive 320 GB, it keeps failing errrorcode 0X81000037 Running Windows 7
