DVD drive disappears after returning from sleep mode. It is not listed in Device Manager and if I reseat the drive it makes no difference. I need to reboot, then it shows up in Device Manager as disabled. Running Win 7 64 Bit on a Dell Latitude E6410. Has anyone seen this before?

I Had a similar problem, and this fixed it.
Go to start and type regedit.
Look for string KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Click UpperFilters in the right pane. Delete it through menu/edit/remove. When prompted click Yes
Repeat these steps for Lowerfilters.
Close regedit and restart the computer. Your DVD drive should be back after that.
