AP error: AP could not be launched?

Jeff

I'm new to W 7 and have a laptop with pre-installed W 7 Home Premium 64
bit. I tried to open an image attachment from a trusted email into the
default (pre-installed)HP MediaSmart Photo Main Program (default)

and got the following error Pop-up:
.................
AP Could not be launched. Possible reasons:
1) Your VGA driver needs to be updated.
2. There is not enough video memory on your VGA card.
..........................
This is a 1 week old HP laptop dv6-1375dx Notebook with *6G* of ram and
"Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD" "with up to 1695MB total
video memory for supersharp images and DirectX 10 support".

Being new to W 7 I am not sure what to do.

Suggestions?

Thanks, Jeff

Did you try saving the attachment and opening it in any other
applications? You're not limited to using the default program.
Besides, the pre-installed HP programs are usually the worst of their
kind. That's been my experience, anyway.

Because it is a new notebook I do not yet have most of my usual apps
installed and therefore have no other graphic apps to work with.
