Yesterday zdnet posted a suprising article comparing MSE to McAfee and other for pay anti-malware. You won't believe there findings. As they are truly shocking. Here's the articles link : http://www.zdnet.com/blog/bott/micro...results-rivers

Hurrah for Microsoft (for a change) Congrats to the others also. Avast is my second favorite.

Good research on Ed Bott's part for the items identified by MSE.

MSE is a good free AV program and does it's job quite well.

I was confident that G DATA, which was listed, found the issues also which it did.

Just as well i changed security programs yesterday after my McAfee sub ended

to honest i found it pretty good on all levels, but there were quite a few false positives along the way but apart from that it was fine.

I have MSE on another pc in the house, i wouldn't use it im my pc as i wouldn't trust doing any online banking or purchasing, anything like that. maybe im paranoid.

I am now testing Kaspersky internet security 2011 on my pc to see how that goes as i hear its pretty good too.
