System is slower since last reinstall

i have dell latitude and problem is that its speed is too slow now but in the beginning i was working very well but when i install window 2nd time its speed slow down
can any one help me about this problem

I moved this to it's own thread. The thread it was in was asking if upgrading the hardware was possible so are you considering upgrading your hardware? What is the model # of your Dell Latitude? Computer details: Processor speed, RAM, GPU if not integrated, etc.

Do you have the same Anti-virus installed as you had originally? AVs can significantly affect processing speed and as more and more viruses come out every day these programs have more and more to check. On some machines the one you choose can make a big difference.

The services and start-up processes in memory also effect things. For example, HP Printers seem to think it's perfectly acceptable to load 6 to 8 programs into memory to run their dang printers; most of which can be disabled.

What model of the Latitude is your notebook? BTW, Latitudes are known more for their ruggedness and ability to work on the go, a preferred notebook for business class users. That's why used ones, even those that are 4 to 5 years old, often costs just as much, if not more (still fetching $350 to $500) than brand new entry level Windows 7 based notebooks (typical 14 inch ones). They have lots of ports that's not offered on many consumer ones of today.

They're not known for their graphics, HDD size & speed, acoustics, or style. They're known for their productivity, can work in extremes, and are dependable. The ones that I had, all 4 of them, all ran hot, all were heavy. But they will take most anything that you throw at them.

Unless you have a fairly recent dual core Latitude, one that was built to run Vista at a minimum, Windows 7 won't run good on it. Drivers are getting hard to come by, especially the graphics for the older ones. TM brings up some points too, software/hardware changes makes a difference, both to the good & bad.

Post back with your model, processor & amount of RAM and we'll see what can be done.
