Hello, did a google search for blue screen system service exception and this was the first result!
Quad core HP Pavillion laptop, I've received this type of blue screen a few times now in the past month.
I've attached the minidump file...
I appreciate any help.

Hello and welcome.

You have quite a few issues that need attention. Let's get started:

1)
Code:
000 000.fcl Fri Sep 26 09:11:22 2008
Update or uninstall all of your Cyberlink software,

http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/s...dex_en_US.html

2) This was a 0x3b error, which AVG is notorious for. Please uinstall it in safe mode using the tool found here:

AV Uninstallers - Windows 7 Forums

Reboot to normal mode and install MSE since that never causes any bsod.

3)
Code:
HpqKbFiltr HpqKbFiltr.sys Mon Jun 18 18:13:11 2007
Must update the Hewlett Packard keyboard driver.

http://www.hp.com/#Support

4) Your Realtek network driver must be updated.

Code:
Rt64win7 Rt64win7.sys Thu Feb 26 04:04:13 2009
Look in device manager for your particular Realtek lan type. Search for it on the left side of the following link:

Realtek

5) Your JMicron JMB38X memory card reader driver needs an update:

Code:
jmcr jmcr.sys Mon Oct 20 05:31:04 2008
ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/jmb38x/X...00.47_WHQL.zip

6) Update all of your Adobe software that is currently installed. This driver has known issues and must be updated by doing so. If you're running old Adobe software, uninstall instead.

Code:
adfs adfs.SYS Thu Jun 26 16:52:37 2008
7) Update your video card driver:

Code:
atikmdag atikmdag.sys Tue Apr 06 21:47:17 2010
Drivers & Support | GAME.AMD.COM

8) Your ENE Cir driver is too old and needs an update:

Code:
enecir enecir.sys Thu Sep 04 05:47:58 2008
http://www.ene.com.tw/en/index.asp

9) Uninstall HP Accelerometer.
Code:
Accelerometer Accelerometer.sys Tue Jun 15 12:41:27 2010
------------

You sure came to the right place, because nobody else online anywhere would tell you all that. Enjoy.

OH MY! LOTS of issues... gulp!
Thank you very much for your assistance!
Should these steps be done in order, is that critical?

You're welcome.

Nope, order is unimportant.

Start with the video card driver, antivirus and keyboard ones as they'll probably be most important to solving the 0x3b issue currently seen.

A few questions about my tasks:

2) This was a 0x3b error, which AVG is notorious for. Please uinstall it in safe mode using the tool found here:

AV Uninstallers - Windows 7 Forums

Reboot to normal mode and install MSE since that never causes any bsod.

I don't have AVG suite installed on this laptop, I have Avira AntiVir personal (free) installed.

And:

8) Your ENE Cir driver is too old and needs an update:

Code:
enecir enecir.sys Thu Sep 04 05:47:58 2008
http://www.ene.com.tw/en/index.asp

I don't know what product this is, what should be updated. On their products download page are "EC" "Peripherals", "Power Management" and "LED Driver IC"

Never mind, regarding the ENE cir driver; the HP site provided that.

Right. Yep, drivers for Avira look very similar to AVG ones. Once in a blue moon, I mistakenly say AVG instead of Avira.

Because of the 0x3b type stop, I would still remove Avira in safe mode using the tool at the link for it. Reboot to normal and install MSE.

Another question, regarding antivirus. You say to install MSE... what is that? :-)
and the accelerometer... I actually can't seem to locate that on my machine...

You're welcome. Don't worry about Accelerometer for now. If there are more crashes, please post them.

It probably won't be necessary though as you probably already fixed the issue.
