So over the past couple days I've had my computer randomly restart a few times. I thought I might have just been missing a prompt from a program to restart after an update because I was usually full screened in a game when this occurred, but a few minutes ago I got a BSOD.

I've attached a picture of the BSOD itself and the minidump file.

I'm really horrible with computers, so if someone could help me that'd be great. 3: I'm tired of my computer restarting mid-game.

EDIT:

FIRST, install all the updates from Microsoft. You should have at least SP1 (Service Pack 1)

Windows 7 Kernel Version 7600 MP (8 procs) Free x64
Product: WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTS Personal
Built by: 7600.17017.amd64fre.win7_gdr.120503-2030
Give a offline scan a go also:

Let us know how you go.

So I went to go try to update my windows service pack, and the updates failed. Infact, I have 3 important updates that are continually failing.

After searching one of the code numbers (Code 80073712) I was instructed to download a system update readiness tool. I installed it, but my updates still failed. So I'm sort of at a loss for how to update my Service Pack now :/

EDIT: I also got another BSOD last night when I was attempting this right before I went to shutdown the computer and go to sleep for the night. I have another picture of it if needed.

The thing I do when that happens is to download them myself and install them.
So I do a search for "KB 2579686 download" in google. and ONLY download from Microsoft.com
KB 2579686
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl....aspx?id=27702

KB2454826
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...s.aspx?id=6691

Try updating those patches, then see if Windows will install the service pack.
Otherwise download the service pack:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/downl...s.aspx?id=5842

Look for this one: windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe
Yes, it 900 Mb. That is why I am hoping that after those other 2 updates Windows will be able to install the SP (Service Pack) it's self.

Hope this helps.

Apparently neither of those updates are applicable to my computer. I'm downloading the service pack now.

Thank you for being so helpful so far. My computer seems to be being really stubborn. :/

Why do you say that they are not applicable?

A popup came up and literally said that it was not applicable.

And now this has happened with trying to install the service pack (attached picture).

A system's error prevented the service pack from being installed. :/

I ran and installed it and nothing happened. So I tried to see if the updates would work again but they're still failing.

EDIT: The readiness tool is running right now. I'll see what happens.
