I have been trying to get Outlook and IE to autostart, I thought this might be the answer, but no luck. Can you help?

Throw a shortcut to each into the "Startup" folder in the "Start"-->"All Programs" menu.

I don't know if they start minimized or not, but it's worth a shot.

Nice, straight forward article, Ian.

New users to Windows 7 would have a time finding that check box. And there are going to be boatloads of new 7 users here pretty darn quick!

This will make it easier for them.
