Are the transparent rectangles around the sticky note box normal? It sometimes does it, then disappears when you move it, etc...

Yes - that is my homework. Shut up about it already.

I like the French Homework "l'Albatros". Is that the Monty Python sketch?

I am guessing you're using SetPoint? (Logitech's mouse support software)

Switch your desktop theme to a different one and then switch it back, OR click on the SetPoint icon in the systray and Exit.

I shot an arrow into the air;
It fell to earth I know not where,
For so swiftly it flew, the sight
could not follow it in it's flight.

I breathed a song into the air;
It fell to earth I know not where,
For who has sight so keen and strong
that it can follow the flight of song?

Not long after, in an oak,
I found the arrow still un-broke
and the song from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of a friend.

... Once you memorize that stuff you may never forget it. I memorized that poem in elementary school about 35 years ago. I also remember a scene from MacBeth from High School.

I'm curious, is Core right? Did SetPoint add a background to your sticky notes?

Uh... Sure.
Yes, it seems it was SetPoint that added the background. At least, it hasn't appeared since I quit it.

That's weird. Does it add backgrounds to everything or just sticky notes? Did it change the background on menus or other windows as well?

No. Not at all.
But Sticky Notes doesn't have the same type of window (Not the same close button, no menus, etc...), so that's probably why it's the only app to be affected.
