SSD and BSOD Issues

I just wanted to let anyone know, if they're interested, that sometimes using an SSD can be trickey to say the least.

I was having some BSOD issues with my OCZ Vertex 2 60GB SSD with the Firmware v1.27, usually it crashed about once every two days lately. Finally after much diagnosis and searching I updated to the latest Firmware v1.32 which was released on 3-27-2011 and so far no issues (fingers crossed behind my back).

So if anyone has had Vertex 2 BSOD problems, they might try updating to latest Firmware from OCZ.

So far my SSD has no dead cells and it is running as if brand new. The OCZ Toolbox v2.33 reports the following data:

Thanks Thrax! I can rest a little easier now.

I also found out that the Intel RST Driver v10.x is for the P6x Sandy Bridge series chipsets and that's why I was having issues. Plus the OCZ Toolbox software wouldn't run on it either. So I am back to the v9.x driver and everything is rock solid and stable!
