If you have a new laptop, it's probably all the crapware that's been installed on there by the PC maker.
I suggest you download PC Decrapifier and run it then choose what programs you don't need and use it to eliminate them.
It probably has either McAfee or Norton or Symantec AV programs on it. Get rid of those too.
All that crapware will really slow down your system.

Also defrag your hard drive with Defraggler to get it working smoothly and download CCleaner to get rid of junk and temp files too. CCleaner is a free program and many of us use it here.
