Guys, i have just done a speed test and came up with this;

Considering my max is always 20.6mb's
this cant be right.

Just tested again.

I think you're confused with bits and bytes.

b = bits

B = bytes

1 bit = 8 bytes

125.9 Mb/sec = 15.7375 MB/sec

Nah, Speedtest has been using bits since forever, I'm fairly sure. Maybe not...heh heh.

anytime i have done a test it has showed either from 14.4MB to 20.6MB but now it shows as mb

anyway still on the low end most people get between 20 and 40 around where i stay.

Huh?

I have a 12 ms ping and can download at up to 20 Mb/sec which is 2.5 MB/sec.

And my upload is more than double yours.

I can download a full XviD 700 MB movie in like 15 minutes. Or a 320 kbps cd in under a minute or so.

Not too hard to cope with that.

well i can download 700MB 8mins on what i got and about the same as yours for a cd.

are these test accurate or is this based on an average do you think?
