Sorting pictures by color.

I have Windows7.

Is there any way to sort pictures by color? Google images has the
ability to extract pictures of basic color types. I need something
to strip out black & White photos, and also old color photos with that
1970s color cast (yellowish-orange), and to group photos by their
color characteristics.

Windows7 Explorer has a much enhanced selection criteria for sorting
photos such as F stop, shutter speed etc, so I guess I need something
along those lines - but for color.

I don't *think* there's any way to constrain Flickr Colrpickr to look at
only your own photos

http://www.krazydad.com/colrpickr/

There might be something else similar out there ...

Thanks, but I don't think Flickr could handle the thousands of pics I
have. Ideally I could use a solution within Windows7 Explorer
itself; that is, become one of its sort options. I'll keep trying.

The following does it:
http://www.tucows.com/preview/510399...e+color+sorter
but the sorting is not very accurate, though the black & white images
are separated OK. Also:

1/ There's no way to pick, group and transfer images to different
folders.

2/ The selected images are presented as windows which then require
transferring to some destination.

I believe that Windows Explorer can search photos by reading the tags
in the pictures' metadata. You can't search on colors because there's
no such tag (and how would it get there by itself?), and Explorer has
no way to analyze the colors of a photo.

You can tag your own pictures, adding tags as you wish. I searched
Windows Help for "search pictures", clicked on "Tag pictures so they're
easier to find", and learned a lot. You might consider trying that.
Related information is also in other places in Windows Help.

In the last few minutes I have stumbled onto the latest (V4) of
"ImageSorter".
http://www.pixolution.de/sites/ImageSorter_en.html

I have started to investigate and this latest version separates the
colors very well (especially the B&W). Also this version allows Ctrl
click selection and moving to other folders.

So far it's looking good. Very fast too.

Looks good, then. Cool.

You now have the good fortune of being able to ignore my "good" advice
:-)

Nay, all advice is considered. This ImageSorter V4 has a way to enter
a drawing and separate photos closest to this. Also color-cast sepn
is possible, but I haven't checked this completely. I'll be on the
lookout for subsequent versions. This sort of program seems to be
rather scarce. :-)))
