Sony VAIO VGN-N31S touchpad driver

I just installed Win 7 and while most things seem to be working the Scrolling on my laptop touchpad is not working. Do I need to reinstall the driver? I did download a file from Sony website with all the original drivers in it but the pointing driver appliction (Apoint.exe) is not opening and comes up with error, DLL could not be opened or something like that. Any help available? Should I just for me and wait and hope windows will find a driver install it?
