Greetings,

Can anyone tell me how to resolve a slow email download. I have deleted most of my emails, spams and trash emails, no results. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Elux

Check all the basics first...run your Anti-Virus then check your system for malware, adware and spyware. Then defrag your HDD. Then run a registry cleaner if you have one, then reboot. Then check what your download/upload speeds are by using speedtest.net. Then check with your ISP what your actual DL/UP speeds are. Then we can go from there.

Hi Elux, welcome aboard

Can you explain a little more about your slow download problem please? Which e-mail client are you using (Windows Live Mail / Outlook?) and what is slow - is it slow to establish the connection and download the first e-mail, or are all e-mails slow to download?

The reason I ask is that if you have set up your mail to leave messages on the remote server, it can sometimes take a while to download the first message (especially if there are a lot of e-mails to skip).
