In the next few hours I'll be moving W7 Forums to a new server, which will mean the site will be offline for around 10 mins (during the database switch part of the move).

The new server specs are very similar to the current one, so the speed should be the same... however the reason for the move is that the new server uses a RAID 1 setup. This should decrease the likelyhood of problems should a hard drive failure occur .

Once the move is about to take place, I'll post a notice on the site using the notice box.

Okay, sounds great! I have always appreciated the fact that this website loads much faster than the other forum sites I visit.

The transfer is all done now . Managed to get it done in about a minute, so I hope no-one noticed

Wow, great job, I don't really notice any difference at all (maybe slightly faster)
