Comodo uses too many resources, and there are vastly better AV and firewall solutions.

I never tried the full Comodo Internet Security package but I do have and use just Comodo Firewall in my W7 64bit and I have zero resource issues and it works perfect for me

Tried it and eventually got rid of it.

All I'll say is I use ESET Smart Security.

Asking for "opinions" on AV security and firewalls is like opening Pandora's Box.

1. Everybody has their favorite.
2. Theirs is "better" than the other ones.
3. This one was once good, now it's crap and I use this one now.
4. This one or that one uses too many resources.
5. The whole thread devolves into a pi**ing match and the person who asked the original question is now thoroughly confused.

Google or Ixquick a search on AV reviews, etc. Make your decision and purchase it.

I have seen too many threads go on ad infinitum, ad nauseum about AV and firewall opinions.

There shouldn't be never-ending questions about anti-virus solutions. Ever. Anybody who's arguing with opinion about their AV solution should be ignored, and here's why: http://tech.icrontic.com/news/avira-...n-av-accuracy/

The best anti virus program is the one that you feel comfortable with. Updating (preferably automatic) is mandatory, as well as a full scan at least once weekly. But the most important anti virus program is in your hands. Safe web searching, don't open spam or other unsolicited emails. Social networks and porn sites are terrible for viruses. If you want to frequent these sites, buy a cheap laptop and don't risk your main computer for this garbage. Some of the computers that I see on this site costs way too much to allow it to become infected. In 2002, my stepson spent around $1700 for a desktop, only in a year's time was eat up with all kinds of viruses. Porn sites. The cable company made him remove his system from the network. Safe computing along with the virus protection that you will run properly will greatly reduce your chances of getting your system infected.

I am a great fan of ESET Nod 32 security suite. It updates automatically several times per day. In the unlikely event of needing support, it is available by e mail or telephone in the UK, at normal land line rates. It has NEVER once failed me, and gets regular excellent results in independent tests.
