BladeRunner, thanks for your contribution here. Security is something not to be taken lightly, and as you have laid out, there's no reason not to have a secure computer.

The ESET online scanner, I'm using myself. Last week, I was about to purchase a security suite, most likely an ESET product. But their online scanner scans deeper and takes longer than MSE (my main protection) does. So twice per week, I scan with ESET online scanner, in addition to scanning with MSE & MBAM (1.50 Public Beta).

I have AVG Internet Security (it was a promotion free license) and never had problems.
I scan my pc online, also, just to confirm my security. I've also have MBMA and others programs to scan twice a month.
The best security is the behaviour of the person behind the keyboard!
