I have a shortcut for Windows Notepad pinned to the TaskBar
(pretty shraightforward).

If I right-click on the shortcut, I get a short list of
files that I somehow added to that shortcut--how did I do
that?

Thanks.

You didn't.

Windows did - or perhaps it was Notepad. I don't care enough to have
figured out or researched who does it.

Note that the files are ones you recently opened.
