hot to delete Restore point created? How much space takes Restore point on
hard drive?
Would be correct to delete Restore point if I see that target application
(Restore pint created for) works OK?

1) Open "Help and Support" on the Start menu.
2) Enter "Restore points" in the search box.
3) Activate search.

"You cannot delete an individual restore point, but you can either
delete all restore points or all but the most recent restore point.
Deleting restore points temporarily frees up disk space. As new restore
points are created, disk space will be used again. For information about
how to adjust the disk space that is used by restore points, see How

'How much disk space does System Restore require?'
To store restore points, you need at least 300 megabytes (MB) of free
space on each disk that is 500 MB or larger.
System Restore might use between three and five percent of the space on
each disk. As the amount of space fills up with restore points, it

I confused.

So if I want delete the specific restore point I created, I need delete all
restore points?
Or Windows will rewrite this restore point? I have large amount of space on
hard drive, so Windows will not rewrite my restore point, but store next
restore pont on new space?

You can look at all your restore points.
Computer, Properties, System Protection, System Restore, Next.

But Windows won't let you delete individual ones. You can delete the lot
(by turning System Restore off then on again), or all but the latest one.

Many people do the following for tidying up;
1. Create a restore point - A.
2. Delete all but the latest.

Restore points are stored chronologically; a, b, c, d ...... When disk
space runs out it will calculate how much space it needs for the new one
and delete oldest ones to get that space.

Download CCleaner from CCleaner.com and this *WILL* give you the facility to
remove individual Restore Points.

Yes, or all but one (the latest).

No. Eventually a new restore point will be created, but it will be new.

Decreasing the amount of space allocated to System Restore will delete
some of the ealier points.

I used CCleaner to delete the two oldest restore points.

CCleaner shows them gone.

Windows restore program shows them still there!!

Same after a reboot.

What gives?

Using Windows 7 SP1 all updates and CCleaner 3.08.1475

I will guess that there's an index of Restore Points that CCleaner
isn't updating, but that the restore points are really gone.
