Restore Default Shot cuts

Somehow I have scr--ed up my Windows 7 Short Cuts; I use IE9. When I
enter F5 I NOW get a Directory display, ala Open file. I expect that
F5 will reload the current web page, that I am on.

I have no idea how I created my problem?? A web search has not led to
a resolution. I sure would appreciate any advise as to how I might
restore my Short Cuts, to their defaults -- ergo F5 reloads the
current web page!

Thanks for any advise!

don

Don, it's probably your keyboard. Look for an 'F Lock' key, maybe above the
numpad? You're actually using the extra functions of your Fkeys. Oh, and I
bet it's a Microsoft keyboard, too.

I cannot begin to recall the Many PC items I have fixed for other
friends - often met with the question "How did you know how to do
that"?? Many times my answer is akin to yours - I learned from
Experience.

Indeed I laughed when I read you answer/ experience, an AHA Moment!!
I assumed the obvious (at least to myself) that the root cause was
some corrupted Shortcut "file" associated with IE 9; maybe Win 7. I
never even" knew" that an F Lock key existed on my MSFT keyboard - for
sure I never used it (nor Intentionally engaged it).

In any case I am Most Appreciative for your advice (as is the insurer
of our household windows).

Have A Great Day -

A KCB FAN!! - Don

Mnemonic for you, when you say, "What the flock is up with this
keyboard?" You know the answer!

That pun may be even worse than some of mine.

On the other hand, maybe not :-)

What really bugs me (also amuses me!) is that it took me a minute to
figure it out.
