Hi 2ji8888 - Welcome to w7forums

Which program are you installing that requires .net 3.5?
Does this program give an error when installing? If so how is it worded.

clifford_cooley, hi thanx for the prmpt reply.

its actually rockstar game social club launcher for gta 4 and a program called ctf manager to edit files for my psp.

they dont give out any error except that after double clicking, a dialog will pop up saying "rgsc launcher.exe is not responding, same goes for the ctfmanager.exe"

i know they require .net 3.5 to go up and running but im unable to install the full feature.. tried to install .net 4.0 beta 1 same thing.. not responding for both program.

hope that gave u a clue on how to fix this.. thanx.

Windows 7 comes with ".NET Framework 3.5" built in.

Have you tried Vista Compatibility for "Grand Theft Auto IV".

Here is an article on compatibility mode. - Application Compatibility Mode

Go to: start/control panel/programs and features

On the top left you should see "Turn windows features on or off" click on that

Find "Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1" when the window opens

Click the + sign next to it to expand it so you can now see:

"Windows Communication Foundation HTTP Activation"
"Windows Communication Foundation HTTP non-Activation"

this is the exact error: "An error has occurred. Not all of the features were successfully changed."

i also tried the compatibility mode, to no avail, it doest work.

im at a brink of reformatting here...
