Can anyone recommend a reliable USB wireless network adapter for a PC running 32-bit Windows 7 Professional?
I am hoping to find one for a 802.11b/g network where the drivers are not flaky and the unit does not randomly disconnect.
The WUSB600N from Cisco/LinkSys does not seem to fit into this category.
Thank you in advance.

Netgear seem to have a range of Windows 7 compatible USB wireless adapters out - there's a list on compatibility here:

I've not used USB adapters much, as I prefer a PCI solution if it's a desktop.

USB would have been preferable due to ease of connection.
However, my main concern is really to find a reliable wireless adapter for PCs.
Can you recommend a specific PCI solution that you have used in Windows 7 32-bit with success?

You could go for one of the new Netgear USB products if you want a reliable W7 compatible one.

To be honest, any of the major brands are going to have decent PCI cards - Linksys, DLink, 3Com, Netgear etc... All of the new releases are going to be W7 compatible. If you just want b/g then this one looks good:

D-Link WDA-2320 - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...998&CatId=2688

If you want something a little faster for an "n" router, this looks decent : http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...358&CatId=2688

Ralink Wireless makes a good one, it it USB powered and works fine on either laptops or PC's. It's the RT3070 and it's the b,g,and n one. I lucked up and found it on ebay. It is very fast and small. Doesn't get hot, either. Check them out on the web. I have a Netgear and it doesn't compare to Ralink.
