If you have a WD backup drive, there's a free program called "Acronis WD edition" (or similar wording). If your drive is a Seagate, there's the Seagate Disc Wizard, another free Acronis product.
Both are listed in the Free Software Database, and you can do data and image backups with them.
I have the full Acronis Home 2010 Home version, it offers many features, including non-stop backup. But I haven't used this feature, nor have I done data backups. I do backup important things to a WD Passport that I have, or flash drives. However, it would be good to start this practice, as I have lost data in recovering from image backups.
That list that Nibs presented has plenty of options for you, if you don't have a WD or Seagate backup drive. I'm sure that you can find a suitable option in the list.
