Process Explorer is an excellent utility. It is much more detailed than the Task Manager. If you want to know what is utilizing your CPU, this is the utility for you.
Among the programs using CPU you will often find several entries for SVCHOST. This is a windows program used to run various Windows SERVICES. If you click on one of the svchost entry's it will present another window. If you select the SERVICES tab you can see what services this iteration is providing.
With Process Explorer you must click on each entry and select the Services Tab for each one. If you have a need to see all the windows services at once you might also try the freeware utility
SVCHOST Viewer.
I believe everyone should have Process Explorer. SVCHOST Viewer may also be of some value to a few of you.
