When I run an image, Windows 7 64 bit complains: Backup encountered a
problem while backing up file c:\windows\system32\comfit\system
profile\documents. Error: The system cannot find the file specified.
(0x80070002).

Although it said that Backup Failed, It made an image but I am not sure if
it will work.

Anyone have an idea how I can resolve this?

Thanks

Walter

Do a Google search and you'll find that it's a glitch in the way Windows
Backup handles the Libraries of Windows 7. The best solution I've read
is to select the folders you want to backup, such as My Documents, My
Pictures, etc. rather than doing a mass backup.

The easiest way to check your backups is to take a complete image of the
system using Acronis or Norton Ghost and then try to use your backups
(the ones that you are doubtful about) on the same system knowing that
you have a full backup using another product.

Hope this helps.

I've encountered that error in the past, and it went away next time for
some reason I never fathomed.
I looked at the image it had made and it appeared sound and of about the
right size.
I concluded by taking it simply as a report on one file gone missing
between reading file indexes and getting to that file in the serial
procedure of copying (probably some background activity), and that it
continued right to the end.
