Did you close the burning session in Nero? If it was left open to
accept more files then you can't read from it yet. I'm not talking
about finalizing a CD which means no more can be written onto it. I'm
talking about closing your burning session. If the session isn't
closed, more files can be added (written) during that session. You
cannot access those files until you close the burn session. Some burner
programs let you leave the session open because you have more files to
add later. Before you can use that disc, you have to use the burn
software to close the still-open session. You can have multiple
sessions on the disc (before you finalize it) but each has to be closed.

View the disc in Nero to see if the last session is open or closed. I
have never burned files onto a disc without also closing that burn
session so I can't tell you where in Nero to do it. Also, I'm still
back on Nero 6.6 so your Nero 8 might have different menu or option
navigation. If there isn't an obvious "Close session" option when it
sees an open session, burn another couple files into the open session
and make sure this time the "close session" option is enabled during
that burn session.
If there is a problem writing the lead-out then the session didn't get
closed;

You'll have to use another disc. The last one is bad. Figure 5% of
your discs will fail to burn correctly.
