That's what sparked this article off as it happens . I'm going to try and get a few other basic guides for some tools online in the next week or so (Memtest and so on), so it would be great if you could link to those articles if it crops up at any point in BSOD analysis threads on here .

Memtest86 can identify RAM problems, be it physical defect or due to wrong bios settings, must be run overnight and sometimes for individual sticks seperately, for errors to show up. Well detailed here:

Hehe, sorry what I meant was, if you need to provide someone with a link to Prime95, etc... in the BSOD section here, could you link to the Prime95 article on here.

A big thanks for those links above though, as it gives me some good application ideas to create articles for .

Sure, that's as I took it. But besides the CPU test (excellent job you did on this article) we also need those other tools I linked to. To suggest we should cover them as well.

As an aside, Folding @ Home is a very good stresser as well.

A lot of OCer's dont like to stress test with it because of the possibility of losing a work unit.

Do you think our PC's have been stress tested long enough?
Surely folding at home for over six months is long enough.
