negative : It is slow very much and all softwares are not supported still(specially games....Though its 3rd party issue).
positive : most interesting is its searching capability...lots of modification in presentation and customarozation......

The speed problem has to do with the computer (Most of the time at least.). It depends on how much ram or what processor you have and what apps you use. I have a very fast Windows 7.

I have to agree on the customizability. Windows 7 beats all other OSs in that category.

I also like the simplicity of Windows 7. Vista is way too complicated, compared to 7.

I have put Windows 7 on older systems (read over 5 years old) and they run faster than they did with XP.

I think it deals with loading the proper drivers and in the correct order.

A lot of people have had slowdown issues if they do an "upgrade" install versus doing a clean or "custom" install.

I've found Windows 7 to be faster than any Windows OS that I've ever had. Even installed it on a Latitude C640, and it ran better than Win 2K (it's stock OS). Although I did have to visit Driver Max for some updated drivers, and didn't have Aero, it looked and ran decently on a 7 year old notebook. Having the latest possible drivers for your system helps a lot.

+s - Windows 7 leaves XP / Vista way behind in all respects

-s - Windows 7 upgrade (installing over say Vista) is naff and %99 of the time will cause problems (clean install is the best way to install Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit).

My biggest negative with Win 7 wasn't with Microsoft, it was with Logitech not writing Vista/7 Drivers for my old trackball. Luckily Microsoft did support my tracball with generic drivers; there was just no way provided to set the center mouse button to do what I wanted. A couple weeks ago a new member here found a little mem resident program that made my center mouse function like I needed. So ...

W7 negatives? what negatives? It's great!

BTW, since you're new here, when the Brits say Naff it means "buggy" / "glitchy" / problematic

The only negatives I've found for Windows 7 is in really old programs and games. And even then, you only need to grab Virtual Box and a copy of XP and your up and running.
