Trolls are socially inept children seeking attention in the only way
their limited maturity allows, by throwing a tantrum. Anytime you
respond to a troll, he wins. That is why I am commenting in an original
post instead of cluttering up a troll riddled thread responding to a
particular nuisance. The only way to deal with trolls is to not deal
with them at all. Ignore them or add the really persistent ones to your
kill file. Any response, negative or otherwise, just compounds the problem.

Yes, we have trolls. I always feel the same as you about their
personality deficiencies and motivation.
I'll just add one point about their attention-seeking. They can also get
it by winding up their betters. In fact that's probably the best tactic
they have; a bit like pester-power with kids.
You can have great power and control over someone if you can get under
his skin; and then keep on and on until he cracks.

I try to follow your advice about dealing with them. It's the only one I
know too.

Ed

That's why I always recommend people use a newsreader with scoring
capabilities. It allows you to score the trolls w/o allowing one to
"poison" a thread.

Clearly you are an anal-retentive control freak. We trolls have
feelings too.

Well, I guess hedgehogs have feelings too. But I don't discuss classical
Latin poetry with them.

That is why he calls himself a dummy. Few years ago he tried this trick
in his local pub and he got what he deserved; A good beating to give
him a brain damage. He says it was due to a terrible accident in his
bicycle but we know he got a good beating! He is now called David Crash
Dummy. Remember the name!

Well then don't do it. Is it so difficult to resist the temptation?
Don't cry; We trolls don't kill nutters like you because you guys are
no harm to us! You guys are impotent with very small penises.
