This is a note for Paul. I see that you are unimpressed with Windows
VirtualPC operation in your Win7. It is my opinion that this program is
Windows version of Oricle's VirtualBox which lacks the refinements that
Oricle puts into their product. My problem with the USB is a Windows7
problem and has no bearing on the value of VBox I would like to suggest
you take a look at Oricle contribution:

I did use VirtualBox, installed in a Windows 7 host, to test Windows 8
as a guest. That worked.

It was my testing of VirtualPC for Windows 7 that didn't go well.
The interface they used to have on the VPC2007 version is missing,
and some of the necessary features, I couldn't access. For example,
on the old version, you could turn on or off, hardware virtualization
support (AMD-V or VT-X). You could also change the mouse release key,
from right-alt if you wanted, and I couldn't find a way to do that in
VirtualPC for Windows 7.
