Photoshop 8 - Will it run on Windows 7/64bit?

I have new HP laptop with Windows 7 and 64 bit. Will Photoshop 8 work on my computer? I had previously purchased Photoshop/Elements 7 and waited to download to my new computer. I found out it only works on XP and Vista. I need photo editing software but I don't want to waste my money if this software doesn't work on a 64bit computer. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

I take it you mean Photoshop CS4

According to the information on Adobe's website it should run on Windows 7. It does not specifically state x64 in the specs for 7 but for Vista there is a native x64 version

I myself would try a trial version first before parting with any hard earned money

I have tested Photoshop Elements 8 on Windows 7 64bit and not experienced any issues.

If you are worried you can register at the Adobe website for a free 30 day trial of Elements 8 and test it yourself before buying.

I have tested Adobe Photoshop CS and it was working as well as in Wista
