Paint shop pro x3 plugins in Windows 7

I have Win 7 home edition 64 bit. I am trying to use paint shop pro x3 plugins. Some of them work and some dont and I dont understand why. I am totally sure that it is the win 7 system that is the problem. I know of people that the same os and same software that can use the plugins I cant. I have downloaded all the updates and have put in all the drivers I can find to assist. I am totally at a loss for what to do to get the funhouse plugins to work. Any ideas??
