Hi, I have mostly, lately, been using my XP Home edition, (boot SATA II hd
in 5 1/4" Startech bay), and inside the case are two more SATA II hd's d:\
and e:\
Just set 1.5 x ram pagefile on all three hd's, to get windows using page
file on the less busiest hd.

Now, what happens when I pull C:\ out, and put in my hd with W7 Ultimate
....c:\ btw ?
Can W7 see / use the same paging files, i.e. can paging files on D:\ and E:\
be common to XP Home and W7 ?

....any pointers (no pun intended) appreciated :-)

regards, Richard

A pagefile is theoretically just a temporary file, and it should get
overwritten everytime the system restarts. However, you'll have to be
careful if you put the system into hibernate mode rather than a complete
shutdown, as the pagefile will get locked down and may be unusable until
you go back into previous OS and shut it down completely.
