I just recently started using my laptop again on a regular basis... I've noticed just recently that there is this "other network" listed in my currently connected to list, once you click on the network icon in the notification area. Doing some goggling, I've come to the conclusion that's it part of windows 7 some how as a duplicate of an SSID that has been turned off. My question is; how do I get rid of this or delete this?

It's a hardware issue. Apparently with TWC (Ubee brand) router that you get with their signature series and you disable the SSID and the WPS, the "other network" thing shows up. Re-enabling both, the mysterious network is gone.

WPS is an automated synchronization for connecting a PC to a network...just push a button and it all done for you...Wow.
