I found a fix and am going to post it here in case it will help someone
else, possible it will help with Win 7 as well.
Logged on as Administrator and created a new Administrator account w/new
name. Gave it a password and checked to ensure all permissions were what
they should be. Logged off old account and logged in new Admin account.
Deleted old Admin. account, when asked whether to save files I checked yes
so I could look at them later. Got an error message saying account couldn't
be deleted while logged in, but after checking old Admin account was gone.
Logged off and rebooted in Safe Mode w/command prompt. You could possibly
start in regular Safe Mode, use Task Manager, New Task and do cmd.exe to do
the same thing. Checked root directory and users directory to make sure
nothing was left from old Admin account. Rebooted normally in Admin, checked
folder on desktop with files that were saved. Nothing of importance there,
so I deleted them all. I checked renaming files function and all is good.
Checked removal of Office 2007 and all is good. Installed Visio 2010 and all
is good.
