Open Programs and Websites

With XP and Vista the task bar showed which programs were open and which websites were open. These were listed between the quick launch area and the notification area. In W7 I can hover over quick launch icons to see what is open. But I would like to see them as they were with Vista/XP? Is that possible?

Right click on the start bar, hit properties. Change the dropdown to never combine:

Its also suggested to select Small Icons to have a lot of space on the task bar.
