I've got a Vaio VPCEA21FX with Win 7 and I'm getting blue creen crashes that Sony has determined is from a failure (or whatever) of notskrnl.exe.
They say I have to reinstall the whole business-what a pain.
Is there anyway to fix this file without wiping out the last 3 months of work on my laptop?

Yes, there is. Please see the sticky thread in the bsod section and then post the crash dumps using the instructions on how to do so.

There are n't any min dump files. All I have are the occassional ones that get reported but my computer crashe 5 times today and there isn;t anything in that file.
This is what i have and I didn;t do any cleaning of the system aftewr the last 2 crashes. Can you do anything with this info?

Yeah, remove ZoneAlarm from your system and use only Windows authorized versions...not "found" versions online, if you know what I mean.
