no sound aarrgghhhh

i have window7 and a mirai flatscreen hdmi ready... i have hdmi cable connected but only movie picture plays thru tv...the sound only comes out thru the laptop.. i tried google but no help at all!!!! please help thanks

im really new with this stuff so im not sure... its new anyways i think is it pavilion dv6 SD.MS/pro.MMC.XD.. dont know what video card is thanks mate

Install the latest video driver for your model. Be sure to choose the correct version with respect to either 32 bit or 64 bit, to match your version of Windows installed.

If you don't know which you have installed, hit the Windows key + Pause/Break key on the keyboard at the same time. It will tell you.
