Like Paul mentioned, some laptops come with a hidden partition where you
can reload Windows (to new install level, along with any of their
crap-ware like demo software) by holding down a specific function key
while powering it on.
On mine it is holding down the F2 key until the laptop manufacturer's
reload screen came up, but the "F" key varies by manufacturer and even
by model on some of them, provided they actually loaded a hidden restore
partition on the hard drive...
