I just came across a article PC World did about a new threat, that according to Kaspersky Labs, is much worse than Stuxnet was. Here's the article's link. http://www.pcworld.com/article/25637...nl_dnx_h_crawl

That is a good reason to keep your computer updated. At least updates reduces its attack vector.
However the problem still remains the Zero-Day exploits.

It's always a game of Cat and Mouse of exploit found and how quick the vendor can update.

I do that numerous times a day. Some say what I do is overkill, but I at least I know my pc is well protected. I do daily full scan's with N.I.S. 2012, SUPERAntiSpyware Professional and Malwarebytes free version.

You know the one thing that I find people don't do is? Create a Normal user account so that they don't use the Admin account on the internet.

I'm guilty of that. I set myself up as a standard account when I first had Vista and it got to be a pain in the neck having to unlock the full blown administrator account just to run and install Windows update's.
