Java Runtime Environment 1.6.0.26 has been released this morning. Here's a link to download both at FileHippo. Scroll down to Related Downloads on this link for the 64 bit version. This is the direct link to the 32 bit version. http://www.filehippo.com/download_jre_32/

Your welcome. That and the Flash Player update yesterday were the 2 vulnerabilities being hacked on all version of Windows x64.

Do we need both versions installed? I've only had the 32 bit version installed, to my knowledge, I've never had the 64 bit version installed at all.

Only if it is your intention to use a 64 Bit browser.

I've tried a few 64 bit browsers, they're not quite ready yet, so I no longer use them. Now, at least I know what the 64 bit Java is for.

IE9 is ready now with a decent 64-bit browser and the latest Flash 64-bit plug-in.

I mess around with it sometimes.

I suggest you install the 64 bit if you are running W7 as if you ever use Internet Explorer found in program files folder. I am sure you know W7 comes with the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Internet explorer
