Need to know if this applies my motherboard ?

On Monday I'm going to be installing Windows 7 on a OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS 120 GB ssd. I need to know if the following article applies to my MSI 890FXA-GD70 amd chipset board or if it only applies to intel chipset boards ?
