On my new Windows 7 computer I get this message when I try to start one
game:

"BASS_ChannelSetAttributes function not found in bass.dll"

Can anyone suggest a way to fix this?

TIA,
- charles

Hi, Charles.

How many times are you going to ask the same question? Do you not know how
to read the replies you've already received to your earlier posts?

Since you are posting with Agent, and I don't know anything about that
newsreader, I'll have to let someone else tell you how to find your earlier
messages and replies to them.

Sorry but:

Message-ID: <Xns9FBB6929656E2chazct@216.40.29.85>
User-Agent: Xnews/5.04.25
Xref: core-iad-easynews alt.windows7.general:72600

it appears that he's using XNews and not Agent....

I'm really sorry about the multiple messages. I'm not having any trouble
reading the replies. I was having trouble sending the messages and got
frustrated so I sent out multiple messages thinking the others hadn't gone
out. Impatience is a big failing of mine. I'm embarrassed and apologetic.
And grateful to everyone for their help.

im always amazed that people just dont google the question instead of
asking in this ng. google is your friend.
to answer your dll question....it appears that you have no computer
knowledge at all. If you have anew computer, i will buy it from you
for $50 bucks so you dont have to worry about dll or any of this new
fangled computer talk anymore.

Right now I'm using MesNews, and it seems to add a new message's header
in its proper place in the header pane only a few seconds after I click
"Send".

It's very reassuring, but I suspect it is merely putting a copy of the
header there without actual retrieving it from the server. If I click
on the header, the message body is retrieved, but again I don't know
whether it's actually from the server.

I have no idea what use the above is to you, but maybe it can amuse you
for a second or two :-)

I have to say, I share your frustration with folks who don't take that
simple step to solve their own problems. In this case, though, you're
wrong. I googled first and repeatedly and was surprised when that didn't
tell me what I needed to know. The solutions I found didn't work in my
case. There were a few ads for software that might do the trick but they
misrepresented the cost so I didn't trust them.

The solution presented in this ng must have been buried quite a few pages
down in my search because I went four pages deep. In any case, I never saw
it.

I'm a little annoyed at your tone, but then, I can't say I blame you. And
you're here trying to help folks so you deserve to vent.

Thanks,
- charles

I'm amused, and grateful for it. A smile is always worth something. I'm
using XNews with Newscene as a server. I think it's Newscene that's slow
posting my message, but otherwise I have no complaints about it.

You again eh? I've been known to straddle people's heads and fart who ask
questions of the sort.
