    Jeffrey,
Thanks for the info on RKill. I had intended to use it, but there were so many different opinions of it, I decided to nuke it with DBAN instead.

    Many thanks,
    Cat

    hi jeffrey -
whats an Irishman doing in Australia?

you know first I looked at the buddy page for 30 secs couldnt see what to do
went back yesterday and after saving changes - then I clicked the check box
    humm nothing happened ...
next day went back and now see the instruction to now save changes
and got this ... a small step every day ...

tomorrow the friend here will reinstall W7 ... (and check the UACs)

really its not important not worth getting het up about ... things like cancer and alzheimer and I spose death quite generally is important ...

just seen down underneath ... does this mean anything I write is gonna get shown?

maybe I should write a sensible list of other things which are important?
    is this your private forum?

and then I see I can contact privately ... better so ... but cant because Ive only got 6 letters and you have to have ten

so - before I turn into hairy fire breathing loony again .. i am now going to honourably give up
    yours sincerely-- rob

    Jeff,

I maybe got a little miffed there and I apologize too. I truly appreciate your response and explanation of things. The person who emailed you is the type who can't man up and reveal themselves.

I did not realize that you were vision-impaired. You do a thorough job in your posts and they're always informative.

    Many Thanks,

First of all your reply was tinged a little with vitriol.

Second, I NEVER STATED you were a hacker at all, so I don't know where in the world you got that impression from.

Third, my statement about the SOURCE link was valid since you had links scattered throughout your posting and it was EXTREMELY difficult to discern where the entire article was sourced from.

In addition, I wasn't being "personal" ! I was simply making an observation of the fact that you ended your post with: "copy & pasted by jeffreyobrien for and on behalf of ZDNet ". A hotlink there to the article would have been helpful at least.

Jeffrey, I haven't read or heard about what you were asking me about. The Windows Anytime Upgrade is still in my Start menu.
