I'm trying to speed up the startup process on my laptop. I have Windows7 and I'm not sure which programs on the auto run list need to remain at startup and which ones are ok to deselect. I would love some help on this. Thanks.

Hey..

Type msinfo32 in the start menu then press enter. File | save on the opened screen. Zip the saved file then attach to a post.

I'll have a look and tell ya.

You can, for starters, also open msconfig and post a picture of what you have running under the startup tab. There is usually far too much there-

Thanks guys for the info. I think I will take a picture of all the programs I have on auto run at startup. I'll post it here and get your feedback then. I've stopped some of them that I'm sure are not necessary, but I need guidance on some of the other ones. I don't want to disrupt the smooth running process. Thanks again. Check back with me.
