On another pc go to this link and download & burn to a cd, dvd or flash drive. Then set your infected pc to boot from whatever device you put the bootable malware scanner on. Do a full scan. Norton's needs a product key. Try Microsoft's & Comodo's Here's the link with links to the various bootable scanners.http://www.askvg.com/search-result/?...vg.com%2F&ref=

Using a clean computer, download and store several versions of RKILL to a USB drive. Also download a copy of Malwarebytes.

If your computer actually boots then it's likely just hidden your files. On your computer boot to safe mode and run RKILL, then w/o rebooting install and run a full malwarebytes scan (that may take several hours if you have a large hard drive). Unless it is a particularly persistent piece of malware that should remove it but you may then have to go in to remove hidden &/or system attributes from all your files/folders.

If the malware remains then you will need the name ... usually screens keep popping up trying to sell you a remover - that is the virus so get the name of what it wants to sell. Some of those require you download an additional program to try to stop it.

Find links to RKILL & Malwarebytes in our Freeware DB

On another pc make a bootable disk with BitDefenders utility. Then set the problematic pc to boot fom your dvd drive and let it run it's scan after having it update it's definitions. Don't be suprised if it takes a few hours to run the scan. You could also try booting with your Windows 7 dvd and select Repair Your PC or something like that at the lower left of the Install Now screen. Then selct Command Prompt and type in D:\sfc /scannow. If d: doesn't work figure how many hard drives and cd/dvd drives your pc has and try every drive letter for those drives, except c: . Windows sees your drive that currently has the Windows 7 dvd in as c: .If the drive letter doesn't work in the beginning, try it like this sfc /scannow d:
